In Genesis 6 verse 15 we are told how big the ark was.
The ark was three stories high at 45 feet. Now I don’t know of any
buildings in Hopeman that tall but if you go into Elgin and look at some
of the buildings in the High Street you can get an idea of how high the
ark was.

The deck area of the ark was the same as 36 tennis courts. Its length
was six times its width and 10 times its height this made it amazingly
stable on the ocean.
The ark was built to float not to sail like a ship and it did.
God gave Noah the exact measurements and he built exactly what God wanted
of him.
What an amazing man Noah was, he created gardens and now he created a
floating home. The sad thing was the people laughed at him and said nasty
things to him.
When God asks us to follow Him sometimes others make fun of us. They say
it’s not cool to go to Sunday school or church, and it’s not
cool to tell your friends that Jesus loves us all.
Noah did exactly what God asked him to do and that is what we have to
do. We have to ignore what people say and trust in what God says in his
Word the Bible.
He promises not to leave us or forget us unlike the friends who are making
fun of us.
I hope through Noah’s example of doing what God wanted will be how
we deal with things in our lives and remember it’s what God thinks
that is important not what anyone else thinks.
God may not ask you to build an ark but what he wants you to do with your
life is just as important as building an ark.
