From Inverness (Time about one hour)
Leave Inverness on the A96 passing through Nairn and on to Forres (about
25 miles). Coming into Forres go straight ahead at the roundabout at the
next roundabout (about one mile) take the turn left for Kinloss (B9011),
pass through Kinloss and on towards Burghead.
On reaching the Roseisle Maltings (over the hump-backed railway bridge)
take the left turn signposted Burghead and then left again at the junction
with the B9013. After 200 yards/metres take the right turn (uphill) signposted
Cummingston and Hopeman. Drive through the village of Cummingston and
you are soon on the outskirts of Hopeman.
Continue forward until you see the Harbour signposted, turn left here
into Harbour Street and take the fourth left (immediately after reaching
the Station Hotel) into Clark Street.
From Aberdeen (Time about two hours)
Leave Aberdeen on the A96, signposted Inverness, and follow the road for
about 65 miles, until Elgin is reached. Follow the signposts for Inverness
through Elgin before you reach the Eight Acres Hotel (on your right) on
the outskirts of the city.
At the Eight Acres Hotel turn right and follow the road for one mile along
Morrison Road before turning left onto the B9012, signposted Hopeman and
Duffus. Drive along the B9012 until you reach the village of Duffus. Here
the road swings sharp to the left, stay on this road until you come to
the junction with the B9040 (Hopeman to Lossiemouth), turn left here towards
Hopeman.
Carry on until you see the Harbour signposted, turn right here into Harbour
Street and take the fourth left (immediately after reaching the Station
Hotel) into Clark Street.
