An old friend of the children at Hopeman Baptist Church has said that he would be willing to provide stories of the bible here on the website.

Hello! My name is Dougal and I've been to lots of places to tell children about Jesus and about how much he loves us.

I have invited some of my friends to help me from time to time. If you would like to see my page,  meet my friends and read our stories you should go to Dougal's Page (Click here).

Dougal tells me that he has another story almost ready forthe website. He is sorry that it has been so long since his last story but he tells me that he has just been so busy.

Dougal has just sent me the story he was telling me about.

Click on the blue writing up above to read what he has to say.

Here is more news from Dougal.

Do you remember the Chorus you learnt in Sunday School which went something like this~~~~~~~~~

"Mr Noah built an ark, people thought it such a lark."Well Dougal has spoken to one of his friends who knew

'Chess and Buster', who have gone away from Hopeman now.

Dougal's friend has agreed to tell you stories about Mr.Noah.

Part One and part Two are available to read right now.

Very soon you will be able read other stories about Mr. Noah on Dougal's own web page here on the church website.

Click on the link to Dougal's page higher up this column or where it says Dougal in the menu bar at the bottom of the page.

Building on the success of the "Ladies Supper Nights" we introduced a "Men's Supper Night"evening during the winter of 2005/2006.

               ~~~~~~~~~~
Well here we are with the days starting to lengthen and hopefully spring is not too far distant.
The program for the  remainder of the 2007/2008  winter session can be accessed by clicking on 'Our Ministry' in the menu bar at the foot of the page and scrolling down the new page for the details of our program to the end of this winter session.
Our first meeting took place on Thursday the 18th of October  when we welcomed
Mr. Hugh Macmillan a former Chief Constable of the Northern Constabulary.
Hugh gave us an insight into his service as a Christian in the police service which proved most interesting.
In addition we had a great time of fellowship as we enjoyed what the ladies had prepared for us to eat.
We start to gather from 7pm. with the meeting commencing at 7-30pm.
We have been greatly encouraged to see a number of new faces and and an increase in the numbers attending over this past winter and hope and trust that more will take the opportunity to join us for our meetings of this winter
For more pictures from the Men's Supper night .
To all the Ladies who give of their time and talents we say a very big "THANK YOU" for your provision on these occasions of fellowship over the winter months.
As always our evenings close with the Pastor giving the 'Benidiction'.
Whether you are a member or an attender at Hopeman Baptist Church or are just interested,do come along to the meeting.
You will be made most welcome.
Prayer Meeting and Bible Study.
Wednesdays at 7:30pm.
We have recently completed a study entitled:-
'THE SEVEN LAMPSTANDS'.
A theme taken from the book of Revelations.
This being followed by a study of the Life of David which is entitled:-
A Man after God's own Heart.
A new addition to the activities of the Church is the formation of a 'Prayer Chain'.
If you have someone for whom you would like members of the
'Prayer Chain' to pray for,your wife, husband, family member, friend, neighbour or an acquaintance then please contact:-Mrs. Valerie Remnant by telephoning  01343 830964.
PLEASE NOTE ABOVE THE CHANGE OF TELEPHONE No FOR CONTACTING THE  PRAYER CHAIN.
It was at the end of a prayer meeting in late Summer 2007 when through a chance remark I heard that a number of the ladies present had at one time played the Tambourines. That remark really marks the rebirth of  the Ladies Tambourine group and the formation of the Ladies choir.
Both groups were in attendance at the Men's Christmas meal and have since been to the Ladies meeting at Buckie Baptist Church.
I do believe that they are to attend the Ladies meeting at the Free Church in Burghead on the 25th of March 2008.
This is an item based on a series of "Tracts" produced some years ago by Mr.Alex'. Stewart who has graciously given his permission to use them. More will be added in time, to make up the series.
Whatever my lot lot Thou hast taught me to know.   It is well, it is well with my soul.
These words were written in the midst of great tragedy. Read of that tragedy in the latest text entitled "Saved Alone!"added to the "Whither Bound" series.
